A standard pre-rendered toolkit was in use, however myself and my colleagues didn’t find this to be flexible enough. Therefore I took it as a challenge to create a new toolkit of assets that we could use for on-air use and showreels.
The After Effects toolkit was used in on-air promos for openers, title slates, end pages and closers. It was also used in client showreels, office video loops and on-air idents. The toolkit was flexible enough that other members in the team could create bespoke graphics and render them very quickly.
I also produced a ‘squeeze screen’ which was used internationally.
